Today is Dads birthday - its been a quiet, nice relaxing day... Mum and Dad went into town this morning and did a few jobs and brought some DVDs home... This afternoon we have been watching a DVD called 'Australia', and later on we are going to watch 'The Disaster Movie'. I had low pain levels this morning... It was such a blessing after the rough day and night that I had last night! We were going to go into town but although this is a good day I didnt have the strength or energy to do that... It has been only between 4 and 6 degrees all day.. lol... Cold!
Dad picked up Lauren from school and brought us all home milkshakes which were yum, and tonight there is a new turkish place that has opened up in town, so we are going to get turkish takeaways and have them at home! YUM! Mum and Dads favourite takeaways are chicken/ lamb mix over rice wuth fresh hommous and salad... Dad has had a good day and has enjoyed the phone calls and such that he has recieved!
Australia (the movie) was a moving, powerful, intense movie -- If you havent seen it I recommend you do... It speaks of love and the power of love that can unite people --- its a beautiful story, based around world war 2 and the cultural differences between two races... Its really moving!
I hope you guys are all having amazing and blessed day --- one in which you can see the beauty in each and every day and in all the little things you see and encounter!
I wanted to share with you a beautiful story... Its so true, so encouraging and so neat! So I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! I will leave you after that with a quote.
Love Kylee xxx
The Burning Hut...
The only survivor of a shipwreck washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stung with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.

He was stung with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.
Remember next time your little hut is burning to the ground- - it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.
And the quotes for the day:
"A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes." Hugh Downs
"The art of being yourself at your best is the art of unfolding your personality into the person you want to be. . . . Be gentle with yourself, learn to love yourself, to forgive yourself, for only as we have the right attitude toward ourselves can we have the right attitude toward others." Wilfred Peterson
